Riester Metpak Pressure Infusion Device Overview
Pressure infusion bags are vital in any hospital as they are frequently used in procedures to treat hypovolemia in operating rooms, emergency rooms, intensive care units, trauma units and following anesthesia administration. They are used to support adequate hydration, maintain and/or replenish fluid volume, restore lost electrolytes or supply partial nutrition. Besides rapid blood or IV solution infusion, pressure infusion bags are also suitable for invasive blood pressure monitoring procedures. Opposed to traditional gravity-fed infusions, a pressure infusion device can infuse fluids in mere seconds.
When durability and reliability are a must, there is no better choice than the Riester Metpak Aneroid Pressure Infusion Device. The Metpak consists of a special cuff designed to pressurize parenteral fluids such as blood or IV solutions, in order to achieve rapid infusion into patients. The cuffs are available in four different sizes, suitable for solutions or blood bags with a volume of 500 ml, 1000 ml, 3000 ml or 5000 ml. The chrome-plated manometer features an easily legible scale and the cuff is manufactured with a special transparent net so you can get a precise reading of the fluid level in the bag.
