Bionix Lighted Ear Curette Overview
Are you still working in the dark?
The Bionix Lighted Ear Curettes have brought illumination and magnification to a previously blind procedure, allowing healthcare providers to quickly and safely remove cerumen from the ear canal.
Ear curettage is now a very simple procedure for a single health care professional to perform. Using one hand to extend the ear canal for better visualization, the other hand can perform the ear wax removal with the curette. The magnifier on the lighted ear curettes has the same magnification as a standard otoscope. Combined with the bright LED light it is possible to maneuver the curette with precision.
Features and Benefits
- Reduced procedure time thanks to better visualization
- Increased safety and decreased risk of injury to the ear because you can see what you are doing and be more accurate
- Choose from eight different styles of tips to find the best one for the specific ear wax condition and the age of the patient
- Disposable ear curettes minimize the risk of cross-contamination and save you time and money wasted on sterilization
How are they packaged?
Bionix Lighted Ear Curettes are available in two packages:
- Standard Box (Includes: 50 curettes, 1 light source handle, 1 magnification lens)
- Clinic Pack (Includes: 200 curettes, 4 light source handles, 4 magnification lens)
The standard box of 50 curettes is wrapped in a single pouch. The clinic pack is wrapped in four separate packs of 50. They are disposable and non-sterile.
Please note the variety pack includes all tip styles except for the CeraPik.
What do Doctors Think?
I am very impressed as are the other doctors and nurses. Using these lighted curettes is much easier than trying to maneuver a light and curette at the same time. The procedure is painless for patients. Younger children are fascinated when they see them light up and it actually calms them and makes them easier to work with. - Doctor's Review of Lighted Ear Curette
